Vuoden Tähtituote 2011 (Finnish star food product of the year) - This year Kanniston Leipomo gingerbread compete in the yearly Vuoden Tähtituote-contest for the title of Finland’s best tasting and most important new food product. Kanniston Leipomo gingerbread is one of five nominees in this year’s contest. The winner will be selected by the public through an Internet voting. The voting will be closed on April 10th.

PacTec 2010 prize Lahti Institute of Design Helsinki, Finland

The Lahti Institute Of Design, Packaging Design Department wins PacTec 2010 packaging prize. Ian Rooney picks up industry award with other colleagues for the contribution to packaging design education. The Finnish Fair Foundation has awarded its €10,000 PacTec 2010 packaging prize to the packaging and graphics department of the Lahti University of Applied Sciences’ Design Institute.
The prize was handed out for the fifth time in conjunction with the PacTec, GrafTec and FoodTec trade fair totality on the 21at September 2010.

The IOM/ IOP Starpack Industry Awards 2010 in the UK have awarded Packlab Partners for packaging design and innovation in the competitive food & beverage category. The award ceremony was held in the 23rd September in London, where Packlab Partners' Marika Luoto was presented the award. She also got invited for the evening dinner where she had a great opportunity to get to know individuals from the British packaging industry.

Packlab Partners' packaging concept 'Orchid' blossoms at prize ceremony. Packlab Partners was awarded with the first prize at the Nordic Aluminium Package Design Award 2009. The novel floral packaging challenges packaging's role as a medium by exploring its interactive qualities and the consumer experience. 'Orchid' was an envisioning project to design a packaging experience that seeks new opportunities by adding value.
The Nordic Aluminium Package Design Award 2009 is organised by Aluminiumriket Sverige, a cluster of companies in Sweden that work with aluminium, on behalf of Packalu Sverige. The competition invites Nordic designers, design engineers and architects to free their thoughts

Packlab Partners' win three awards at the IOP - Institute of Packaging Starpack Awards in the UK for Food and Beverage, Luxury and Environmental packaging design and innovation.
The 2011 Starpack Dinner and Awards Presentations will take place on 22 September 2011 at the prestigious Landmark Hotel, Marylebone Road, London. The evening will be hosted by the London & South of England Packaging Society and sponsored by Marks & Spencer and PPMA, in aid of CLIC Sargent. High numbers are expected in what will be the packaging event of the year.
